Victory on Health Care!!

Together, we are finally taking the necessary steps to real healthcare transformation. SB 1809 has now passed both legislative chambers and is ready for the Governor’s signature. This bill, like the work of the Joint Task Force on Universal Health Care, was built on an unwavering set of values and principles. However, it was the consistent drumbeat of messages and testimony from HCAO supporters across the state along with numerous organizations that signed on in support that made this possible. Also, it is thanks to the resolute efforts of Sen. James Manning and Rep. Travis Nelson who kept this priority focus throughout the session.
