Right to Health Care Amendment

"It is the obligation of the state to ensure that every resident of Oregon has access to cost-effective, clinically appropriate and affordable health care as a fundamental right.”

Nearly 1 million Oregonians voted YES, and now the Oregon State Constitution now includes health care as a fundamental right.

History

The constitutional amendment was passed by the legislature as SJR12 in 2021, so it was referred to the voters as Ballot Measure 111.
