The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and three technology groups are weighing in on behalf of Oracle America in the lawsuit filed by the state over who’s to blame for the Cover Oregon debacle.

At issue is whether the state can sue individual plaintiffs in their personal capacity, including Oracle CEO Safra Catz.

The chamber, TechNet, IT Acquisition Advisory Council and IT Alliance for Public Sector have joined Oracle in asking the Oregon Supreme Court to review a Marion County trial judge’s “personal jurisdiction ruling." They argue it "exposes employees of out-of-state companies to massive personal liability in Oregon.”

They filed a “friend of the court” brief in which they argue the case has a potentially far-reaching impact
