Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations continued to show progress in decreasing emergency room visits and unnecessary hospitalization, while increasing primary care use, according to a report released today.

The report shows the 16 CCOs’ progress for the first nine months of 2013 on key performance and cost measures.

“We are seeing some encouraging trends in the data,” said Lori Coyner, the Oregon Health Authority’s director of quality and accountability. “We’re also seeing new positive data as well.”
