“What’s the Least I Need to Know About Health Care Reform?” presentation and discussion will be given on Wednesday, February 6, 7:00 p.m. at TaborSpace Community Room, 5441 SE Belmont, in the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church. The presenter is Dr. Samuel Metz, author of the four-part "Health Care Reform Without Tears" series which ran in Street Roots, and "Am I My Brother's Keeper: Why pay for health care for the undeserving?" in Blue Oregon online. His opinion pieces have appeared in The Oregonian, newspapers in Salem and Eugene, and the New York Times, and he has appeared on NPR and local radio programs on both coasts.
Dr. Metz is a Portland anesthesiologist active in health care reform, member of Mad as Hell Doctors, and the representative from the Portland chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program to Health Care for All-Oregon. Coffee and tea provided. The event is free and everyone is invited.
